The fine print, up front

How we pick. How we make money.

A credit card recommendation is only worth something if you know how it was made. Here is the whole process, including the part where we get paid.

01

We read issuer terms, not marketing pages

Every figure on this site comes from the issuer's published fee schedule and rewards terms — joining fee, annual fee, reward caps, excluded categories and the exact waiver condition. Banner claims get ignored.

02

We score against a real spending profile

A card is judged against how an actual Indian household spends: online marketplaces, UPI, fuel, groceries, food delivery, travel. A 5% headline rate with a ₹500 monthly cap is worth less than a flat 1.5% for most people, and we say so.

03

We shortlist, we do not list

Each use case gets two or three cards. If a card does not clearly beat what you already hold, it does not appear. There is no 'top 50' page here because nobody applies for fifty cards.

04

We re-check every quarter

Indian issuers revise reward terms often — capped categories, devalued points, new exclusions. Recommendations are re-verified quarterly and we note the last review date on each card.

Where the money comes from

Some apply links may earn us a referral fee from the issuer. That fee never changes a card's position on this site, and no card can pay to be added, ranked higher, or described more kindly. When a placement is paid, it is labelled as paid.

We are not a bank, a card issuer or a distributor, and we do not collect your PAN, income documents or credit report. Approval, credit limit and final terms are decided by the issuer. Always confirm fees and reward terms on the issuer's website before you apply.
